Moat Crossing

Hammer1

Footboard Moat

One partner from each team had an "Aztec footboard". When Kirk said go, the first partner of each team paddled across the moat. Once across, they climbed out onto the other side. That was the signal for the second partner to pull the footboard back to the other side, jump on, grab the rope, swing the footboard into the water, and pull themselves across the Moat. When the second teammate reached the other side, it was his job to hit the gong.

Steps of Knowledge

Hammer2
The men who drove the spikes and laid the rails for the Great American Railroad were called gandy dancers, and the biggest and strongest of them all was John Henry.

One day, the railroad foreman came up to him with a stranger and said, "John Henry, Mr. Jones here says his steam engine can outdrill even my best man. And I aim to find out. I'm going to put you up ahead in the tunnel there with you on one side and the steam drill on the other. We'll see who drives further."

John Henry slung his hammer over his shoulder.

"That'll be me," he said, and followed the foreman up the line.

John Henry took his position.

"Go!" shouted the foreman, and John Henry started swinging with all his might.

The steam drill chugged and drilled, and when the smoke cleared, John Henry had driven fifteen feet through the rock, and the steam drill had only gone nine. The other gandy dancers cheered and lifted John Henry on their shoulders. The railroad retired John Henry's hammer, and it found its way to the Temple.

The Silver Snakes are eleven-year-old Kim and thirteen-year-old Billy. The Orange Iguanas are twelve-year-old Julia and thirteen-year old Walter.

Escape the Tunnel (Dragon Tunnel)

Hammer3

Legend has it that after beating the steam drill, John Henry was trapped in the tunnel by a cave-in. In that game, one player from each team had to wriggle through the tunnel on their stomachs. The only problem was: the tunnel was filled with foam rocks which they had to push through. They had one minute. The first person to get through the tunnel and back or the person to get furthest along won. Kim beat Julia and made it through and back in 22 seconds.

Railroad Tunnel (Peanut Shaft)

Hammer4

Building railroad tunnels was tough, even for men like John Henry. In that game, the players were going to see just how hard it was. Starting at the base of the shaft, each player filled their buckets with rocks and climbed to the top and dropped it in their bins. Then they had to climb back down and start again. The player with the most rocks in his bin at the end of one minute won. Billy won the game after scoring seven rocks, over Walter, who only scored four rocks.

East Meets West (Bungee Soap Line)

Hammer5

When the railroads were built, one started on the East Coast and one on the West. And where they finally met, they drove a golden spike in honor of their meeting. In that adventure, the teams were going to make East meet West. When Kirk gave the signal, the partners on the East side started with spikes on their helmets, and both partners pulled themselves toward the middle. Then they had to pass the spikes to their partners on the West who slid back and dropped it into their buckets. Then the first partners slid back to their sides, grabbed the next spikes, and the team with the most spikes in their bucket at the end of one minute won. The game ended in a tie with both teams had three spikes.

Temple Run

Hammer6

Kim went first into the temple in search for the lost hammer. Moving at a moderately fast pace, She started off by heading up into The Room of the Three Gargoyles, and after pressing all three tongues, she quickly makes her way into The Pit of Despair. Unfortunately, Kim did not know what to do in order to proceed into the other rooms. As she continuously kept hitting the doors instead of the actuators in order to open up one of them to proceed into the temple. First by hitting the door to The Throne Room, and then climbing up to The Heart Room and The Observatory where she did the same! Despite Kirk telling Kim that she needs to hit the actuators if she wants to proceed into the temple, Kim either didn't listen or couldn't hear him as she was left at The Wall Climb, confused on what to do. It got so bad that her partner, Billy had to yell for her to do so! Finally understanding what she had to do, Kim opened up the door to The Heart Room with a little over than two minutes remaining. In the room, Kim was still confused on where to go or what to do as she continuously knocked on the door leading to The Room of the Golden Idols. Then, several seconds after entering the room, Kim met the first Temple Guard and thus had to give up her pendant. Unfortunately, Kim still got confused on where to go or what to do. After finally understanding again that she had to hit the actuators in order to proceed. Kim finally started to try opening up the doors, but she only attempted to do so for The Pit of Despair, and the door to The Room of the Golden Idols (which remained locked). After Kirk had to tell her that the actuator to The Throne Room was on the side of the ladder, Kim finally opened up the door, and proceeded downwards. But that's when the second temple guard popped out after she stood on the throne, leading Kim to be taken out of the temple with 1:20 remaining.

Now it was time for Billy to head into the temple. Luckily, he was much faster, and stayed true to his strategy of taking the lower route to eventually reach the hammer. Continuing off where Kim was, he went up The Room of the Three Gargoyles, then The Pit of Despair, and finally passing by The Throne Room before entering The Spider's Lair. In the room, Billy decided to climb up the cobwebs so he can reach The Room of the Golden Idols and unlock the door. However, he had a hard time doing so, and struggled for a good portion of the time remaining. (Mostly because of how thin the webbing was). With no other choice and realizing it was a waste of time, Billy continued along the rest of the bottom floor. He entered The Tomb of the Ancient Kings but got confused on what to do in the room, after stalling for several seconds, Billy busted through The Stone Wall and into The Mine Shaft. Then with the few seconds remaining, Billy proceeded to ride the elevator where time shortly expired as he rode the elevator halfway into the Room of Three Torches.
