Solo Run

A Solo Run is a fan term where the second player does not enter the Temple at any point nor needs to enter the Temple at all.

Throughout the course of the original series, there were 18 solo runs, 13 of which were victories (72.2% chance of winning solo). The other five solo runs, two of which reached the artifacts before time ran out, were losses (40% chance of reaching it with a 60% chance of not reaching it).

Throughout the course of the reboot series, there was only one solo run, which was a victory (100% chance of winning solo).

Trivia

• The Lucky Pot-Bellied Pig of Amelia Earhart was the only solo run to have a second Temple Guard encounter. Kristin met the second Temple Guard when there was only less than three seconds left. Her partner Scott was unable to even enter the temple.
• Of the 19 contestants who performed a solo run, 13 of them were female and six were male.
• The Red Jaguars have the most solo runs, with five.
• The Purple Parrots have the fewest solo runs, with one.
• Season 2 has the most solo run episodes, with eight.
• Season 3 has the fewest solo run episodes of the original series, with four.
• Temple Layouts I, II, VIII, and IX are the only layouts to not have any solo runs during their respective tenures.
• All the post-Season 2 solo runs had a contestant reaching the artifact.
• The Observatory has the most artifact episodes that were solo runs, with four.
• The Dungeon, the Pirate's Cove, the Room of Harmonic Convergence, the Tomb of the Headless Kings, the Viper's Nest, Medusa's Lair, the King's Storeroom, the Jester's Court, the Quicksand Bog, and the Room of the Beloved are tied for having the fewest artifact episodes that were solo runs, with one each.
