The Ledges Seasons Used 2 & 3 Layouts Used X-XV Episodes Seen 41-120 Objective Completion 33 Temple Guard Encounters 9 Predecessor The Cave of Sighs Adjoining Rooms The Crypt The Pit of Despair (Layouts X & XI) The Rock Quarry (Layout XII) The Pit (Layout XIII & XIV) The Pit of the Pendulum (Layout XV) The Ledges are a series of cave passages which the contestants must move through to find and press an actuator in order to advance into the next room. It is ultimately the same as its predecessor in Season 1, but in the next two seasons, a slide near the steps is how the contestants enter. In the picture near the lower left "Pit" by the door, usually a Temple Guard would hide there. Notes In Season 2, entering in this room is by "sliding method," like in The Very Tall Turban of Ahmad Baba because of the wooden rod on the top of the slide, but in few episodes of Season 3 (like in The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta and The Golden Spider Web of Robert the Bruce), the contestants used "the walking method" because the rod is not present, likely due to contestants bumping their heads on it while exiting the temple in Season 2. This is the only room in Temple Layout XV that does not have a unique objective other than just pressing a button to open a door. However, the Quicksand Bog retained the actuator for the diagonal door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. In Season 3, whenever a Temple Guard was stationed in this room, the lights were usually dimmed or turned off as Olmec explained the Temple Run rules.
