In this room, the contestants must place themselves into the wall-mounted armor and pull down the levers to open a door. Contestants, however, had to be careful, as one of the armors (most often, the right one) was a trap set by the Temple Guards and he or she would be spun to the back of the room to hand their pendant to a stagehand. Trivia This was the very first room in Season 3 where a Temple Guard was encountered. Kirk Fogg often referred to the individual armors as "rooms". Unlike its predecessors, the doorway to the bottom level was omitted in the Room of the Ancient Warriors. There are rare occurrences in which the Temple Guard was in a different armor than the correct one (The Lion-Headed Bracelet of Chandragupta and The Discarded Seal of Ivan the Terrible). This was the last room to feature an artifact in the original series. The stagehand can be seen in The Mummified Hand of the Egyptian King. With exception of The Snow Cone of Mount Kilimanjaro and The Jewel-Encrusted Egg of Catherine the Great, all the episodes with the artifact in the the Room of the Ancient Warriors feature the Green Monkeys entering the temple run.
