Moat CrossingThe first player from each team would cross the moat by pulling himself or herself hand-over-hand on the overhead rope; once they were across, their partner would toss them a bundle of rope which their teammate would catch. Once the first player had the rope, they would coil it once around the base of the pole and brace himself or herself so their partner could cross in the same method (except they would walk on the underwater lower rope).
Steps of KnowledgeOne of the greatest generals who ever lived led an army of 60,000 men and 38 elephants through Spain and France, and over the Alps into Italy. His name was Hannibal, and he crushed the ancient Romans in the worst defeat of their history. Legend has it the idea came to him in a dream. One day, Hannibal summoned his spiritual advisor, Mumbo, and said to him, "I dreamed I was floating above the ground on something gray with wings, and while riding it, I crushed the city of Rome. What do you make of this, O Spiritual Advisor?" "My lord," said Mumbo, "you must gather a band of elephants and take them over the Alps to Rome!" This seemed like a good idea to Hannibal, so off he went, and bought 38 elephants. The elephant dealer was so pleased, he gave Hannibal a silver saddle horn as token of his thanks. Hannibal won his battle and gave the silver saddle horn to Mumbo.
Temple GamesThe Red Jaguars are 12-year-olds Damon and Vicky. The Green Monkeys are 14-year-old Lee and 12-year-old Jessica. Hannibal Helper (Knotted Rope Mountain)[]Hannibal crossed the Alps with 38 elephants. All the players needed was four. Before the players were their version of the Alps. As the viewers could see, the elephants have gotten stranded on their way up. When Kirk said go, one player from each team climbed the mountain with the ropes, and when they came to an elephant, they grabbed it and stuffed it in their pack. When they got to the top, they came down on the other side and the first one to reach the other side of the mountain with all four elephants, or the one that was furthest along in 60 seconds, won. The girls both climbed at the same pace, but what decided it was the fact that, at the beginning, Vicky had a harder time getting the elephants in her sack than Jessica did. Vicky tried her best to catch up, but she was still a little bit behind when Jessica made it down the other side of the mountain with sixteen seconds left, so the Green Monkeys won the first half Pendant of Life. Slippery Alps (Water Chute)[]As Hannibal discovered, elephants have flat feet, which is why they don't live in the Alps where they slide around a lot. As a matter of fact, he went into the Alps with 38 elephants and he came out with only one. Like an elephant, one player from each team went down the slide on their stomach and slid as far as they could. Then they ran back and tried again. They had 60 seconds and whoever glides farthest won. Lee started out strong, but eventually Damon caught up and slid further as he got the hang of the game. His furthest slide was a bit better than Lee's furthest, so Damon won a half Pendant for the Red Jaguars, tying the scores. Roman Column (Pulley Pillar)[]After Hannibal crushed the Romans at Cannae, people had to rebuild. The teams had to do that in that game. When Kirk said go, one player jumped up with the first ring of the column and then slid it down over the pole. Then the partners jumped up and slid the next ring of the column down over the pole, and then they alternated like that for 60 seconds, and the first team to reconstruct their column, or the team that's furthest along when time was up, won. Vicky slipped an extra ring on the column as time ran out, but even without it, the Red Jaguars still got seven rings on the column to the Green Monkeys' six, winning the full Pendant of Life and the right to go to Olmec's Temple.
Temple RunVicky headed into the temple first, moving at a fast pace. Sprinting into The Cave of Sighs, Vicky quickly climbs the cavern and opens the upper crawl tube and progresses into The Wheel Room. Quickly turning the wheel to lift the stone slab, Vicky then proceeds into The Throne Room, where after sitting down, both of the doors leading to The Heart Room and The Holes of Python opened. Deciding to head up, Vicky climbs the ladder into The Heart Room where luckily no temple guard was to be seen. In the room, Vicky unlocks the door leading into The Treasure Room, but just when she was about to try the door leading to The Shrine of the Silver Monkey, she met the first Temple Guard with 2:14 to go. After giving up her pendant, Vicky found out that she could not directly enter the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. So, she decided to open the treasure chest to see if she could head down into The Holes of Python, but the door didn't open either. Confused on what to do, Vicky spends a good chunk of time looking through the chest to find a way to open the door. After a while, Vicky retreated back into The Heart Room, but strangely decided to head up into The Observatory. In there, Vicky spins the sundial and opens both of the doors leading to The Treasure Room and The Troubled Bridge. (Showing that the Jaguars could have potentially started in The Room of the Three Gargoyles and across The Troubled Bridge). Eventually, Vicky returned to the Treasure Room from the Observatory, where she continued to attempt to unlock any of the doors in the room. But it led to her wasting time in there once more. Eventually, Vicky headed back into The Heart Room again, but this time, she headed down into The Throne Room with about 1:11 on the clock. Finally, she headed into The Holes of Python, where a Temple Guard hidden past the ladder caught her with forty-nine seconds on the clock. And after a classic haunted house jumpscare, Vicky was then taken out of the temple.Damon went in next, trying to make up for lost time. Moving at a somewhat similar pace as Vicky, Damon moved across the bottom level smoothly and did not hesitate during his time in the temple. By the time he reaches to the other side of The Holes of Python, Damon successfully opens the right crawl tube that leads into The Tomb of the Ancient Kings. However, Damon most likely did not hear the sound effect of the door opening, because he attempted to open the left crawl tube which did not open. Unfortunately, time ran out before Damon could enter The Tomb of the Ancient Kings.
