Moat CrossingIn this moat crossing, teammates must cross the water one at a time by squirming through a series of rubber tubes.
Steps of KnowledgeThe orneriest, nastiest, deadliest gunslinger in the Old West was Billy the Kid. He was as wild as a pole cat and meaner than a snake, and his temper was as quick as his trigger finger. Folk said he killed 21 men, one for every year he lived. Once, he shot a man through a hotel room wall for snoring too loud. He'd shoot bullets around your feet just to watch you dance. One day, he rode into Lincoln, Nebraska, looking for trouble. He found it, in the form of Pat Garrett, one of the toughest lawmen west of the Mississippi. "Boys," he said to his posse, "I'm ridin' out to get Billy. Who wants to come along?" Nobody did. They were too scared to go. So Pat went after Billy alone. Sure enough, when Pat rode back into town, he was wearing Billy's yellow snakeskin boots, and nobody ever heard tell of Billy again. They say the sheriff kept those boots til he died. Then, they disappeared.
Temple GamesThe Green Monkeys and Adam and Staci. The Purple Parrots are Kelly and Tony. Target Practice (Trapeze Grid)[]According to legend, Billy the Kid was a crack-shot, and he got that way by lots of target practice. Adam and Tony's task in this game involves target practice as well. When Kirk gave the signal, each player had to place a boulder between his feet, grab the trapeze, swing out over the grid, and drop the boulder into one of the nine grid holes then swing back, grab another boulder and try again. The player to fill all nine grid holes or the player to fill the most grid holes in 60 seconds won. Tony beat Adam 6-4, awarding Tony a half pendant of life. Snorting Broncos (Squirting Statue)[]Even the best outlaws' horse could have a bad day, and Billy the Kid's was no exception. Before Staci and Kelly was Billy the Kid's horse whose sense of direction was never that good. When Kirk gave the signal, each player had to shinny up the horse's back. Once at the top, she then had to turn the horse's head around so she's facing forward then run back down and start again. Of course, bucking broncos hiss and snort, so they had to hold on tight on their way up and they had to be careful. If either player's feet touched the ground, she would have to go back and start again. The player to turn her horse's head around the most times in 60 seconds won. Kelly beat Staci 5-1, awarding Kelly a half pendant of life. Knock off the Posse (Slingshot Bowling)[]When you're an outlaw, some days you have to battle the posse. Here, both teams had to knock down the targets on the wall before them just like Billy would knock off the posse. When Kirk gave the signal, each player had to load his/her team's slingshot and launch a ball at the targets on the wall. Then, it would be his/her partner's turn to launch a ball at the targets. The team to knock down all four of their targets or the team to knock down the most targets in 60 seconds won. Both teams tied with two targets knocked down (they had trouble getting the ones on the sides), but the Purple Parrots had two full pendants total, sending them to Olmec's Temple in search of the snakeskin boots.
Temple RunKelly went into the temple moving at a great pace. Deciding to head up to The Crypt as her starting point, she immediately got caught by a temple guard just after she pulled on the first book, leading her to scream in fright. After giving up her pendant, Kelly stops for a bit, as she was most likely still frazzled over her encounter with the temple guard. But after a few seconds, she pulls on the other two books and was able to unlock the door to The Pit. Swinging across the rope swiftly like Tarzan, Kelly then tries to unlock the door to both The Observatory and Medusa's Lair, but both doors remained locked. With the only remaining option left on stock, Kelly jumps down into The Pit and unlocks the door to The Laser Light Room. But upon entering the room, Kelly did not attempt to complete the objective, and instead climbed up the ladder to attempt to enter Medusa's Lair. But it didn't matter, because through the smoky fog, the second temple guard rushes over to Kelly and grabs her. Leading her to scream again, and therefore ending her journey in the temple with 2:12 left on the clock. Tony went next into the temple to retrace Kelly's footsteps. Moving at a slightly faster pace than Kelly, he paces through The Crypt, then jumps down (but slightly loses his balance) in The Pit, and finally enters The Laser Light Room with 1:57 left. In there, Tony pulls off the blocks from the wall at a good pace. Unfortunately, the left side did not contain the white light, but the top block on the right column did. (Which was the first one that Tony pulled on that side of the wall). And with that, Tony now advances into The Jester's Court, but he had a bit of trouble aligning against the wall paintings. With the one on the right, Tony was able to press all but one of the buttons, but regardless, that wall painting wasn't the key. Then with the middle one, it took a little bit for Tony to align himself against it, but eventually, he was able to press the buttons and unlocks the door to The Dark Forest. In there, Tony quickly found the key within the tree on the left, but it turned out that it was a dud as Tony was sadly unable to unlock any of the door with the key. Thinking on his feet, Tony puts the key back into the tree, and plows through The Stone Wall and into The Mine Shaft with roughly a minute left. In there, Tony was about to ride the elevator up to The Room of the Secret Password, but he made a smart move as he changed his mind and instead tried the diagonal passage leading directly into The Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Good choice: because the door opened, and Tony grabbed the Snakeskin Boots with fifty-two seconds left. With plenty of time, Tony races right across the top floor and re-enters The Pit and grabs onto the rope with one hand for stability as he jumped down. Tony then enters The Ledges with about thirty seconds left and accidentally went down into the boarded-up The Cave of Sighs entrance at first. Quickly realizing his mistake, Tony heads back up and crawls through the exit, and make his way out of the Temple with 5 seconds left! Not only did this earn both him and Kelly the trip to The Bahamas, but it also made them the first ever Purple Parrots team to win the temple run within the show's history!
